Speaker for the Women's Retreat
Kristin Greer hails from the inner-city of Chicago with a passion for educational reform and the under-served learner. In over a decade, Kristin has earned, built and honed her experience in driving academic improvement, governing schools, executing strategy, and implementing missions as a high school principal, assistant principal, lead teacher, middle school teacher, and college professor. With a background in performing arts, Kristin has used artistic expression and discipline in an unconventional manner to engage all learners and transform learning environments. Kristin’s journey into education all began with a temporary substitute position that she hoped to use to support to her acting career. The tables turned when she realized that her calling was education; from that point forward, it was her definite place of service. As an administrator, Kristin has directed the radical advancement of schools from “needs improvement” to “distinguished”. She has also served as a member of accountability review teams to provide schools with innovative and sustainable solutions towards academic advancement.
Kristin holds a Bachelor’s degree in Theater from Western Michigan University, a Master’s degree of Teaching and Learning, and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Concordia University. Currently, Kristin lives in New York City as a transformational educator and high school principal in East New York, Brooklyn. She spends her time exuding her love for serving undeserved communities, fashion, cooking, and of course, the arts. But most importantly, Kristin's motto is that God has created her to share the light and love that she has been given.
